Mary looks on with a breaking heart as Jesus' body is lowered from the cross. Yet her heart of faith still clings to his promise to return. Longing for support, she turns to other women of faith and asks, "Will you wait with me?" One by one, ten women arise from the congregation to comfort her. They offer Mary their own experiences of loss mingled with faith as they reassure her, "Yes, Mary, I will wait with you." |
