Included are: 1. Real Hope—Just as God called insignificant people to be part of Jesus’ birth, there is hope for us to be part of God’s great story. 2. Real Peace—The shepherds simply accepted God’s gift of peace— as should the neighbor irritated about a borrowed drill set. 3. Real Joy—We who have issues with busyness, age and financial hardship see that worshiping the Babe didn’t change the shepherds’ lowly circumstances—it changed them. 4. Real Love—It’s showtime and what can go wrong does, but love is embracing the gritty situations and people we encounter daily. May be used with the lighting of the Advent candles. |
