| | SCRIPT PREVIEW | | | Synopsis | | The mood of this pageant moves from the solemn reflection of Holy Week to Resurrection joy! The playing area is bare except for a simple unadorned cross. Adults read the seven last words of Christ. For every "last word" a child responds by reading a fitting, parallel Scripture promise as he or she places flowers in the cross. When all the "promises" have been read, the stark cross has been transformed into a blossoming creation, just as words of mourning are turned to words of hope and triumph! Complete instructions for making the grapevine cross are included. Only a minimum of rehearsal is needed, and no special costumes are required. |
