It explains how our civil rights and God's commands are not at odds, but rather support one another. Child readers discuss liberty, peace, protection and the pursuit of happiness, matching each topic to an appropriate Scriptural response. God, the great I Am,is the focus when children enter holding placards that say I AM. More children enter holding placards that spell CARE while the readers tell of God's loving care for our country. Then the children unscramble themselves to spell AMERICA. The program concludes with the singing of the great patriotic song "America" while the child singers hold small American flags. For the Sunday closest to Independence Day or any time a patriotic emphasis is desired. |
