SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
A large Easter basket captures the attention of two children. Wow! Did the Easter Bunny visit? Did he leave jellybeans? Marshmallow chicks? Chocolate? None of the above. There are some mighty strange items in this basket—but several child storytellers explain the role the contents played at the first Easter. The props are: perfume bottle, towel and bowl, bread and goblet, bag of coins, praying hands, lily, crown of thorns, cross, nails, dice, sponge, torn curtain, dogwood, rock, lamb, egg and an empty basket. These visual symbols tell the whole story, from Palm Sunday to the empty tomb. Children may hand out craft gifts as the congregation departs. A concise yet complete presentation that is easy to prepare.
