| | SCRIPT PREVIEW | | | Synopsis | | Your audience will be charmed by Harriet, a delightfully mixed-up character who only hears half of what is said. When she is invited on an Easter egg hunt, she thinks it’s an Easter hunt, so she sets off in search of the holiday. Along the way she encounters a donkey, a stream, some flowers and other characters who were acquainted with Jesus. Each one has something special to share about his life and ministry. The characters give her signs with the first letter of their names to help her remember their stories of the various events surrounding the Crucifixion. She pieces the clues together and then rearranges their letter signs to find they spell Easter! Whimsical rhymed stanzas bridge the transitions between the characters. Even the Easter Bunny makes an appearance, though it’s appropriately reverent — he points Harriet to the spiritual meaning of the holiday.
