Synopsis
A sequel to Murder, Mayhem, and Marshmallow Salad—no murder this time, but there's plenty of mayhem—and marshmallow salad, of course! Features the same cast of quirky characters. They attend the annual budget meeting. Nobody can agree where the money should go, or even what the church's mission truly is. Suddenly super-slick PR consultant Stuart Ship crashes the meeting! He delivers a fiery pep talk to pump up the bickering bunch. The next scenes are hilarious TV-inspired bits: M.T. stages an "extreme church makeover." "Dr. Phyllis" interviews Mrs. Keal on her talk show while shamelessly plugging a multitude of self-help books. And there's a cooking infomercial where, much to her horror, Tess's infamous marshmallow salad gets tweaked beyond recognition. Finally all see that whether it's making spreadsheets, outreach to newcomers, or even making marshmallow salad, sharing their gifts will make their church's mission possible.
