| | SCRIPT PREVIEW | | | Synopsis | | A children's musical for Easter about how the first Easter eggs came to be. Though the eggs are chosen by the earliest Christians as symbols of the Resurrection, one group of selfishly proud hard-boiled eggs almost spoils everything. Their not permitting the scrambled, fried, and poached eggs to participate in the egg celebration upsets God. He takes away the hard-boiled eggs' honorary status. The worst offender, Eggbert, is cracked during their prideful hijinks. He asks God for forgiveness, and it is unconditionally given. Later, mission fulfilled, all eggs are once more made whole and they are colored and decorated to become the joyful symbols of rebirth. Four original songs scored for children's voices and piano accompaniment. |
